Dark matter, the elusive stuff that makes up a quarter of the universe, has been seen in isolation for the first time. Marusa Bradac of the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC), located at the Department of Energy's Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), and her colleagues made the landmark observations by studying a galaxy cluster 3 billion light years away.

"We had predicted the existence of dark matter for decades, but now we've seen it in action," said Bradac. "This is groundbreaking."

Noah grew up in Worthington, MN (home of the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Unvarnished Music Festival) with his parents and sister. He loved to hang out with friends, play music, and windsurf. His father, along with a few excellent lessons from Jerry Giefer, taught him how to play guitar.

After graduating from high school in 1998 Noah went to continue his education at the University of Minnesota, Morris. There he was fully immersed in the music program. Morris, having an outstanding Jazz program and music director (Jim Carlson) was the perfect outlet for Noah's guitar interests. He started out in the forth of four Jazz ensembles but was accepted into the 2nd Jazz ensemble after his first year there. In the last semester of his second year he was asked to start playing with Jazz Ensemble 1. Noah absolutely loves playing Jazz and was thrilled to play with Jazz 1. He was also involved in numerous Jazz Combo's (curricularand extra curricular).

Besides being involved in Jazz, Jazz Combo's, Concert Band, local rock band MTI, and a blues band, Noah had an interest in computers. He began to experiment with building websites and learning HTML. He was able to get excellent guidance from two of his six roommates (Computer Science Majors). Throughout Noah's time at college he learned HTML, CSS, some Javascript, and how to use many different programs. After graduating from Morris with a Major in Music Education (primary instrument:tenor saxophone, and jazz guitar as well if there was a major for that during his time there) Noah continued East to Minneapolis, MN. He got married to his lovely wife in July of 2004 and is currently substitute teaching and pursuing his dream of building websites.
